Sting has postponed multiple concert dates following medical advice. An announcement was shared on Instagram. The cancellations have sparked concern among fans about the legendary musician’s health status.

Sting’s team released statements explaining the reasons behind the postponements. The first announcement addressed an immediate cancellation at a Florida venue.

“Sting is under the weather and on his doctor’s advisement, he has been instructed not to perform tonight,” the statement read. “As a result, his concert at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in Hollywood, FL this evening will be postponed to May 6, 2026. Please hold on to your tickets as they will be honored on the new date.”

The team emphasized that Sting is eager to return to performing once he recovers fully. “Sting very much looks forward to returning to the stage as soon as he is fully recovered. He apologizes for any inconvenience and appreciates your understanding.”

A day later, a second announcement revealed additional cancellations. Two more shows in Florida were affected. “Unfortunately, Sting is under the weather and has been instructed by his doctor to postpone his scheduled performances on Monday, November 10 at the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa and Tuesday, November 11 at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL,” the statement said.

The team indicated that rescheduled dates would be announced soon. Sting remains committed to returning to the stage once fully recovered.

The recent cancellations highlight ongoing health challenges for the 73-year-old artist. National World reported that Sting’s postponements were specifically due to a throat infection. This infection forced him to temporarily halt his concert schedule. The respiratory issue proved serious enough to warrant medical intervention and the cancellation of multiple high-profile performances.

The current health setback is not an isolated incident for the former The Police frontman. Classic Hits noted that Sting faced similar throat infection challenges earlier in 2025. These infections had already caused the postponement of some January shows. This pattern of recurring throat issues suggests an ongoing vulnerability that continues to impact his touring schedule.

Despite the health concerns, fan support has remained strong throughout his recovery period. Classic Hits documented that fans have rallied around Sting. They expressed support during his illness and recovery. The outpouring of encouragement from his dedicated fanbase demonstrates the deep connection audiences maintain with the iconic musician, even during challenging times.

As Sting focuses on his recovery, the music community and his fans await his return to the stage. The rescheduled performances, including the May 6, 2026 date at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, represent his commitment to fulfilling his touring obligations. He aims to return once he has fully recovered from his current health struggles.
