After releasing ‘Soft Spine’ in September and collaborating with Megan Thee Stallion, Spiritbox has announced their second album, ‘Tsunami Sea,’ set to be released on March 7 via Pale Chord/Rise Records.
The upcoming LP will feature the band’s latest single as well as 10 additional tracks, including the new song ‘Perfect Soul.’
‘Tsunami Sea’ was produced by Dan Braunstein and Mike Stringer, mixed by Zakk Cervini, and mastered by Ted Jensen. The album follows 2023’s ‘The Fear of Fear’ EP. The 2023 release earned Spiritbox their second Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance with the song ‘Cellar Door.’
The track’s video is set in an abandoned hospital by the ocean. It shows the frontwoman Courtney LaPlante searching the afterlife, surrounded by ghostly figures and a strange, barnacle-covered creature. The video also includes scenes of the band playing in decaying rooms.
Spiritbox will finish the year with shows in Brazil and Mexico alongside Bring Me the Horizon. In February, they will go on a European headline tour, and in June, they will play several dates opening for Linkin Park.
