The posters direct followers to a webpage that asks for an email address, first name, city and zip code, deepening the mystery around the announcement.

“28.09 – unlock.slipknot1.com,” Slipknot Brasil posted.

The cryptic message quickly caught the attention of fans online, many of whom began offering their own theories about what the band could be revealing.

“Could it be a Knotfest tour perhaps? Meaning multiple big bands to sell a stadium,” one Slipknot fan commented.

Other fans weighed in with additional possibilities, ranging from a new album to a full-scale world tour.

“I have 3 theories, it can be World Tour with dates, that day the album is released, or that day something else is announced,” another fan wrote.

The teaser campaign has not been limited to North America. Similar posters have reportedly surfaced overseas as well.

“Here in Argentina also posters appeared in the streets!! Hopefully they will tour Latin America!” another fan said.

Fans across multiple continents are watching closely for Slipknot’s official announcement as the countdown continues toward September 28.

Once fans sign up on the teaser site, they are taken to a second page where the band’s flaming logo appears alongside the numbers “09” and “28,” reinforcing the date without revealing further details.

The posters have turned up far beyond the U.S. and South America. Sightings have been reported in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto, Houston, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Mexico City and Hershey, suggesting the announcement could be tied to a wide range of tour markets rather than a single regional event.

That geographic spread has lent weight to speculation that a tour, rather than a new album, could be in the works. Still, Slipknot has not confirmed the nature of the September 28 announcement.

For now, all eyes remain on the September 28 reveal, with fans across the Americas hoping the mysterious countdown ends with dates in their own backyard.
