Former Slipknot DJ and keyboardist Sid Wilson has shared his first social media post since his highly publicized departure from the band after 30 years. The post offers fans a glimpse of new music he is working on, according to a post on Instagram.

The post quickly drew attention from fans and public figures alike. Chester Bennington’s ex-wife, Samantha Bennington, commented on the post. Her comment appeared to reference a collaboration involving Chester and Samantha’s child, Draven (now known as Violet) Bennington.

Wilson has since made the split official on his own end. He updated his Instagram bio to reflect his tenure with the band as running from 1997 to 2026, a quiet but clear confirmation that his time in Slipknot has come to a close.
The timing of his exit also followed closely on the heels of his split from fiancée Kelly Osbourne earlier this year. This adds another layer of personal upheaval to what has already been a turbulent stretch for Wilson.
