Sharon Osbourne has broken her silence following the death of her husband Ozzy Osbourne. She shared her first public statement with fans on Instagram.
The heartfelt message expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support she has received from fans and the music community during this difficult time.
“I’m still having trouble finding the words to express how grateful I am for the overwhelming love and support you’ve shown on social media,” Sharon said. “Your comments, posts, and tributes have brought me more comfort than you know. None of it has gone unnoticed, in fact, it’s carried me through many nights.”
In her statement, Sharon also shared a personal moment of healing. She described an afternoon spent with birds of prey.
“Though I’m still finding my footing, I wanted to share some glorious creatures I had the chance to spend an afternoon with,” she continued. “The connection you make with these powerful birds is built entirely on trust and confidence. They’ll choose to perch on you only if they sense you are safe and unafraid of them. It’s a bond I know all too well, and the experience was nothing short of magical.”
Sharon concluded her message by thanking the fans and Black Sabbath community for their continued support.
“I love you all, and I thank you deeply for the otherworldly amount of love you continue to send my way,” she said.
Sharon’s public statement comes after decades of standing by Ozzy’s side through both triumph and adversity. This partnership has defined both their personal and professional lives.
The Independent reported that Sharon’s relationship with Ozzy began in 1979 when she took over managing his solo career after he was fired from Black Sabbath. Their professional relationship quickly evolved into a personal one. This led to their marriage in 1982.
The couple’s journey together has been marked by both incredible highs and challenging lows. Bollywood Shaadis noted that they had three children together and navigated personal challenges including a brief separation following Ozzy’s infidelity in 2016. Despite these difficulties, their bond remained strong throughout their four-decade relationship.
Ozzy’s deep devotion to Sharon was evident in his public statements about their relationship. “I love her more than anything in the world. I couldn’t live without her; I don’t wanna live without her,” he once said. This reflected the profound connection they shared.
Wikipedia documented that Sharon has been instrumental in Ozzy’s career success. She served not only as his manager but also as his anchor through various personal struggles. Her role extended far beyond the professional realm. This makes her current grief all the more profound for fans who have witnessed their enduring partnership over the years.
