Sharon Osbourne On Why She Put Up With Ozzy Osbourne’s Multiple Affairs

In a recent interview with Weekend Magazine, Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy Osbourne’s wife of over 40 years, opened up about her marriage and her rather unconventional relationship with Ozzy Osbourne. When asked about her thoughts on Ozzy’s multiple affairs and the groupies, Sharon had this to say:

“I was so used to it because that was the world I knew. That’s what comes along with being famous. It was always there.”

When asked if she was willing to ignore them, her answer was as follows:

“Yeah. Especially if somebody is insecure or a narcissist that wants it all [as he was]. I was always like, ‘Wear a condom and never ask names or addresses. You don’t want to know.’ When it gets to something more personal than that, then it’s a problem. Then I’m not going to turn a blind eye.”

Sharon also talked about struggling to keep the marriage alive and mentioned that she was alone in the process. She said:

“You’ve got to remember I had three kids. I had a family to hold together. I didn’t have parents to look after me. I couldn’t call up and say, ‘Listen, what do I do? I’ve got this problem with my husband.’ There was no one. You get through. It takes a toll on you mentally, of course it does. You push it down, then one day you just explode.”

‘If You Love Each Other Enough, You’ll Work Through’

A marriage that has surpassed 50 years is not very common in the rock industry, but Ozzy and Sharon as a couple have achieved this. In an interview conducted by E!news last September, Sharon  shared the secret of their 53-year long successful partnership with E! News. Sharon emphasized that they are both ‘oddballs’ and described their relationship as that of two wild young people who found each other. She said:

“So, we’re two oddballs, and we were two wild young people that found each other. And I think we’re cut from the same mold. And it’s not been easy. No relationship is easy, and you have to work at it, and you get your ugly times, your bad times, and your horrific times. But if you love each other enough, you’ll work through. And to realize that you have to accept people for what they are. They’ll never be what you want them to be. You have to accept their good and their bad parts. If you love them enough, you’ll accept it and realize that you can’t change it.”

The blunt celebrity continued her words by saying:

“We’ve survived everything: drink, drugs and now it’s women… When you’re fucking a load of women, one of them is going to want more. That’s the one that’s going to get you.”

Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne’s ‘End-of-Life Pact’ Is Still On The Table

Sharon and Ozzy’s almost half-century relationship has a way out. Rock and roll’s iconic couple have planned an assisted suicide and are apparently determined to stick to that plan. Sharon first spoke about this ‘end of life pact’ in her 2007 memoir ‘Sharon Osbourne Extreme: My Autobiography’. In it, she revealed that she and Ozzy had made a pact to go to the Swiss assisted dying organization Dignitas if either one of them were to suffer from the common form of dementia.

On the 205th episode of The Osbournes Podcast, where both Sharon and Ozzy had discussions with their children Jack and Kelly, son Jack asked if their plans for euthanasia were still on. Sharon’s answers were as follows:

“Do you think that we’re gonna suffer?,”

Then his son asked:

“Aren’t we already all suffering?”

She again responded:

“Yes, we all are, but I don’t want it to actually hurt as well.Mental suffering is enough pain without physical. So if you’ve got mental and physical, see ya.”
