Former Godsmack drummer Shannon Larkin will perform with Snot at the Welcome To Rockville festival. The announcement came through Snot on Instagram.

The band issued an official statement to explain the temporary lineup change. Their regular drummer Jamie Miller is currently unavailable due to touring commitments.

“Due to Jamie Miller currently on tour in Spain with Bad Religion, legendary drummer Shannon Larkin will be joining Snot on the drum throne this Sunday at Welcome To Rockville in Daytona Beach,” the statement read. “Shannon is responsible for putting Snot together in the beginning and also played the very last two Snot shows before Lynn [Strait] passed away in 1998.”

This performance marks Larkin’s first announced gig since leaving Godsmack.

The announcement signals Larkin’s return to his roots with Snot. It also marks a new chapter in his career after his extensive tenure with Godsmack.

Modern Drummer reported that Larkin joined Godsmack in 2002. He replaced original drummer Tommy Stewart and quickly became essential to the band’s evolution.

Drum Magazine highlighted Larkin’s significant impact on Godsmack’s sound. He contributed to several of the band’s most successful albums during his tenure.

Psychedelic Baby Magazine documented Larkin’s impressive achievements with Godsmack. He played on multiple chart-topping records, including ‘Faceless’ and ‘IV’. Both albums reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart.

The Welcome to Rockville festival has established itself as a premier event in the rock music scene. The venue provides a fitting stage for Larkin’s return to live performance.
