Sebastian Bach took to X to ask rock fans to support vinyl over CDs.

“If you’re going from 6 PM – 3AM it’s gotta be vinyl,” the singer wrote in a post. “And u won’t wanna stop at 3AM either. No such thing as a vinyl ‘kick.’ This is the preferred format of the greatest musicians who ever lived.”

Then, in the comment section, a fan shared an article from RedShark News named ”The sound of vinyl’ is just an effect. Here’s the proof.’ Bach replied by writing, “Like I said the person that wrote this article doesn’t listen to music from 6 PM at night till three or four in the morning.”

The rocker continued, “And by the way, Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin and Joe Walsh from the Eagles know more about music than whoever wrote this article does fight me.”

The same fan replied, “6 to 3, that sounds like a total package. The experience of handling the sleeve and whatever else. I like vinyl too, but I think there might be a 70s bias from those generations. I grew up with cd’s and Japanese manufactured cassettes which 40 years later sound pristine.”

“Listening from 6 PM to 3 AM nothing but CDs is not possible. CDs give you ear fatigue after a while of listening to them. Vinyl gives no ear fatigue whatsoever,” Bach said in his response to the user.

Bach recently finished his solo tour and is thankful for the experience. He took to Instagram to thank everyone who was part of the tour, writing, “Well, the tour is over and this is a post to my awesome band. We have been through so much this year together fellas. 90 cities.”

He added, “It’s been a real heavy year of touring for all of us. I just want you to know how much I appreciate each one of you mother truckers. I also want to thank every one of YOU for coming to the shows and the VIP meet and greets. So many of you bring awesome gifts and I don’t really have time to say thank you.”

Bach’s only scheduled show for now in 2025 is on May 3 in Fargo, North Dakota.
