Former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach discussed reunion possibilities in a recent interview with Music Radar.
Bach detailed his attempts to reach his former bandmates. He also highlighted the contrast between his active touring schedule and Skid Row’s recent performances.
“I’m trying to figure out how to talk to those guys but when I text them, they don’t text me back,” Bach said. “I mean… great job by Skid Row in getting Lzzy Hale. I’m happy for everybody. I’m not putting anybody down, okay? But they did four shows last year — and I did 91. If I can do 91 shows, and another band does four shows, like, can we analyze?”
Bach addressed the possibility of a reunion. He clarified that business matters, not personal issues, created the obstacles.
“Absolutely I would consider it,” he stated. “And there’s a reason that it’s not happened. It’s not what you read, ‘Oh, he’s wild,’ right? It has nothing to do with that. It’s a business thing that was just a miscommunication. It’s just stupid. I don’t know.”
Bach expressed doubt about an immediate reunion. He also shared details about his current work with Skid Row drummer Rob Hammersmith.
“I don’t think [a reunion] could happen in the near future, but we’re all still alive,” he noted. “I had Rob Hammersmith, the drummer [currently in Skid Row], in my new video. It was a joy to work with him again. And I’m actually doing a private show with Rob in Connecticut this summer.”
The prospect of a reunion faces significant challenges from both sides.
A report from Blabbermouth revealed that Skid Row’s guitarist Dave “Snake” Sabo has firmly ruled out reunion possibilities. Sabo emphasized their decision stems from artistic integrity rather than financial considerations.
Ultimate Classic Rock documented the band’s unified position. Other members, including Rachel Bolan and Scotti Hill, stand with Sabo’s decision to prioritize their current creative harmony over financial opportunities.
Recent reports clarified Bach’s reference to Lzzy Hale. While Skid Row has performed with Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale, she maintains no official role with the band. The group currently auditions new vocalists. They remain open to unconventional choices, including female performers.
Bach maintains his active touring schedule and demonstrates ongoing performance commitment. He remains open to reunion discussions despite growing skepticism about management and logistical differences.
