Sebastian Bach Reacts To Bette Midler’s Claim That Prince Philip Was A Rock Star Just Like Paul McCartney
Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach shared a post on his official Twitter page reacting to famous musician Bette Midler‘s tweet in which she paid tribute to recently deceased Prince Philip and referred to him as ‘rock star’ while comparing him to the Beatles icon Paul McCartney.
As many of you know, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh was a member of the British royal family as the husband of the Queen of the United Kingdom, Elizabeth II. Being the longest-serving royal consort in British history, Philip passed away on 9 April 2021, aged 99, two months before his 100th birthday.
After the passing of Prince Philip, countless people shared posts on social media accounts, revealing their final goodbye just like Bette Midler who also shared a post on her official Twitter page stating that she saw Prince Philip only once, however, he was a rock star and made Midler feel just like when she first saw Paul McCartney.
Here is what Bette Midler said:
“To me, #PrincePhilip was a Rock star. I only saw him once and they had to hold me back, kinda like when I heard #PaulMcCartney at the Garden…I lost it. And what a marriage. We know nothing of it except that it was long and loyal. Rest In Peace.”
After seeing Bette Midler’s tweet, Sebastian Bach also shared a post on his official Twitter page reacting to the comparison between Prince Philip and the Beatles icon, and apparently, Skid Row frontman wasn’t happy with Midler’s statement since calling Prince Philip a rock star sounded meaningless to Sebastian.
Here is what Sebastian Bach said:
“Prince Philip was a Rock Star? what does that even mean? We know exactly what that means”
