Scott Weiland’s son Noah slammed his father’s team on Instagram for ignoring his music.
“To the people who run my dad’s Insta account: Is it really that hard to follow his own son from that account?” he wrote in his IG story. “Let alone repost what I made for him? Or do I not make you guys enough money?”
Noah added, “I just dropped an entire tribute to my father for the anniversary of his passing & instead you guys completely ignored me & post some old a** clips everyone’s already seen. Imao, jokes. I think it’s crazy that I can’t even tag my own father. LOL WTF.”
In April, Noah shared his late father’s unreleased vocals after being blackmailed. On Instagram, he posted a screenshot of the song on YouTube and a threatening message he received.
He wrote in the caption, “Can’t believe I’m saying this right now but basically I’ve been getting blackmailed by a random number that somehow has a very old version of a song I have with my father. And because of that, I am basically forced to release a song I had no intentions of releasing until way further into my career cause this coward really thinks I’m about to send them $2k to not leak it.”
“Sooo, I beat em to the punch.. funny enough, I saw ‘TIME WILL TELL’ written on a bathroom wall the day I got that text, maybe my dad thought it was time? After years of struggling with addiction, homelessness, ppl hiding my dad’s $, liars, backstabbers, growing up too fast, losing my bro Gio, old friends turned foes, I been through a lot but the person I was years ago is FAR from who I am now,” the singer continued.
He concluded, “‘TIME WILL TELL’ ft Scott Weiland[produced Spencer Carr Reed] is OUT NOW on YouTube .. link in bio.”
Later, in August, Noah said that he got threatening voicemails from someone his dad knew. He shared the voicemail on Instagram stories and hinted at who it could be. “You’re f*cking dumb, dude. And if you’re on drugs right now, get the f*ck off the drugs ’cause you’re acting just like your f*cking dad,” said the voicemail sender. “Just like your dad. What that means is, you’ll be dead pretty soon if you keep acting like him. Get off the f*cking drugs you a**hole.”
Noah shared a hint about the person in his next story and asked followers to guess. He posted a statement from Doug Grean, a producer and guitarist who worked with Scott and Stone Temple Pilots.
