Scott Ian Recalls Anthrax’s Greatest Touring Experience With Iron Maiden By Sharing Rare Footage
Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian revealed the greatest tour experience of the band by sharing rare footage on his official Instagram account.
Back in 2016, Iron Maiden started a ‘The Book Of Souls World Tour’ in the United States. Afterward, they went to Mexico and the while South America. After their show in the United States, they brought Anthrax with them.
Scott Ian wanted to remember this special day for them because it was the greatest tour experience they had in their career. While mentioning the amazing crowd and memories, he also touched upon something else.
One of the privileges of touring with Iron Maiden is traveling on the iconic plane that the band has. On top of that, the frontman Bruce Dickinson is your pilot in the meantime, and it seems like Scott pretty enjoyed those moments.
Here is what Scott Ian said:
“5 years ago today we embarked on the greatest touring experience in Anthrax’s history. Iron Maiden took us on tour all across Mexico, Central and South America on their mighty Ed Force One!
I think it’s safe to say that we’ll never top the experience of flying around on (our hero’s) Maiden’s 747 with Bruce as our pilot – unless they invite us to do it again!
We were playing sold-out stadium shows to the best crowds on the planet and then the cherry on top of the whole thing was getting to watch Maiden play every night. This video is us in Monterrey Mexico arriving at the plane for the first time. I’ll be posting more from this amazing tour all month.”
