Sammy Hagar’s daughter, Kama Hagar, is opening up about the personal struggles she’s currently facing, describing them as “abundance issues” in a social media post shared on Instagram.
She detailed her decision to step away from her businesses to pursue writing full-time, while also handling the tension between wanting to travel freely and her desire to settle down and start a family.
“This is what I’m struggling with right now,” Kama Hagar said in her Instagram post. “I am letting go of so much in my life (businesses, expectations) + finally trusting that what I want to do (write) is enough + meant for me, but still fear the judgment of others for being ‘able’ to take that leap (and I hope it works out, man).”
She went on to reveal how she views these challenges despite the uncertainty.
“I feel blessed these are my current struggles,” she continued. “They feel like abundance struggles. Like the world is boundless + limitless. I don’t yet know where I’ll end up, but I am very lucky + feel so blessed for everything I have, the mindset I have worked tirelessly to have + the trust I have cultivated with source.”
In the caption accompanying the post, she talked about the emotional weight of allowing herself to want more after years of building her life.
“After everything I’ve built, it feels kinda scary to feel desire again: Desire for love, Desire to expand, Desire to grow,” she wrote. “And trust that following my soul leads me to it all, not misses out on one or the other. In sum: I wanna experience everything I can out of life while I’m on my own + travel + be free, but also I’m ready for my husband + all our babies. K overshared again, bye.”
Kama Hagar is a holistic entrepreneur and creative storyteller, with a career spanning coaching, writing, and community and brand building centered on healing and what she calls “lit + luscious living.” She is the founder of Mukama Botanica. She also serves as editor-in-chief of Maui Makai and works as a soul health coach, speaker, and YouTuber. These roles together represent the very “expectations” and structures she now says she’s ready to walk away from.
Her identity as a coach has also placed her in front of a wider audience recently. She has been featured on podcasts this year as a holistic coach and the founder of both Maui Makai and Mukama Botanicals. Her work is on themes of alignment, healing, and personal transformation, the same themes that run through her latest confession.
