Sammy Hagar and Metallica will be uniting for Charity at the Helping Hands Event.
The 2024 Metallica Helping Hands Concert & Auction will feature special guests Sammy Hagar and his band ‘The Best of All Worlds,’ along with the violin-and-cello duo SistaStrings.
The event is on Friday, December 13, at YouTube Theater in Los Angeles. Hagar’s band includes ex-Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, guitarist Joe Satriani, and drummer Kenny Aronoff. This will be the last performance for Metallica and Hagar in 2024.
The Helping Hands Concert & Auction raises money for Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation. Founded in 2017, the charity helps communities that have supported the band. It has raised over $15 million for food security, disaster relief, education, and local services.
The Helping Hands auction will offer cool items and experiences. All money from ticket sales and the auction will go to the All Within My Hands Foundation to help those in need. Tickets for the sold-out event may still be available on resale sites like StubHub.
Metallica will continue the M72 World Tour in 2025. They will start the North American leg on April 19 in Syracuse, New York, and end on June 29 in Denver. Pantera, Limp Bizkit, Suicidal Tendencies, and Ice Nine Kills will join on select dates.
Many cities will host two-night stops, where Metallica will play different sets each night, known as ‘No Repeat Weekends.’ The band will also perform single-night shows in several cities. In November, Metallica will tour Australia and New Zealand with eight shows, starting in Perth on November 1 and ending in Auckland on November 19.
Hagar has four solo shows planned for early 2025, along with a Las Vegas residency with his band, The Best of All Worlds. His first show will be on January 17 in Scottsdale, Arizona, during the Barrett-Jackson car auction. He will perform with Anthony, Aronoff, and his guitarist Vic Johnson.
The other three shows are on February 20 in San Antonio, Texas, February 21 in Thackerville, Oklahoma, and April 27 at the Stagecoach Music Festival in California. Hagar’s Las Vegas residency will run from April 30 to May 17, 2025, at the Dolby Live venue at the Park MGM.
