Sammy Hagar Shares What Song He Liked Watching Eddie Van Halen Play Live The Most
Former Van Halen lead vocalist Sammy Hagar shared a post on his official Instagram page revealing the track he liked watching late guitarist Eddie Van Halen play live the most in addition to showing a picture for his weekly ‘Van Hagar’ series.
As many of you know, Sammy Hagar has been sharing ‘Van Hagar’ posts for a while now which means he shares stage moments of Van Halen on his official Instagram page when he was the lead singer of the band. Hagar has been referring to those posts as the ‘Van Hagar’ series since that’s what fans called the band during the period of Hagar being the frontman of Van Halen.
Recently, former Van Halen frontman shared a post on his official Instagram page revealing a throwback picture with the legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen on stage when the band was performing in Denmark, 1993, when Sammy Hagar was wearing a floating American flag outfit and Eddie was having the best time.
Here is what Hagar said:
“’93 in Denmark, flying American flag outfit, year of the live record!”
Although Hagar’s intention was to resurface a special moment with his former bandmate who’s now passed away, fans often find his ‘Van Hagar’ posts as an opportunity to ask him questions about Van Halen. That’s why a fan shared a comment under his post, asking Sammy Hagar his favorite song to watch Eddie Van Halen play live. Apparently, Hagar loved it when Eddie performed his medley solo in which he mixed the great intros that the band members came up with over the years.
Here is what the fan asked:
“Sam – what song did you like watching Ed play live the most?”
Here is what Hagar answered:
“His medley solo every night where he played all of us great intros over the years”
