Sammy Hagar Covers David Bowie Song ‘Heroes’ And Describes His Feelings About It

Former Van Halen lead singer Sammy Hagar posted a tweet on Twitter to express how he felt about the David Bowie song, titled ‘Heroes,’ his band The Circle recently covered which is dedicated to the frontline workers who put their lives in danger to help others during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The 73-year-old rock icon has been conducting various businesses including his restaurant in Mexico, Cabo Wabo, and his rum brand, ‘Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum,’ which is a collaboration with the well-known musician Rick Springfield.

As you may know, Hagar has also been working on his projects with his band, The Circle, which was formed by Hagar, original Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, drummer Jason Bonham, and guitarist Vic Johnson. The Circle has been covering several iconic songs during the performances called ‘Lockdown Sessions’ since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic which were streamed online

A couple of days ago, Sammy Hagar announced that The Circle released their new album, ‘Lockdown 2020,’ which was a collection of the eleven of the most popular covers that they made during the sessions. ‘Lockdown 2020’ included the covers of several iconic songs from Van Halen, AC/DC, Bob Marley, and David Bowie.

Recently on Twitter, Hagar shared the 12th episode of The Circle’s ‘Lockdown @ Home Sessions’ which included the band’s performance of the late icon David Bowie’s song, ‘Heroes.’ In his tweet, Sammy revealed that Bowie’s song, ‘Heroes,’ was one of his all-time favorite songs. He also mentioned that they aimed to dedicate this song to all the frontline workers who put their and their loved ones’ lives in danger while doing their jobs to protect others during the coronavirus pandemic.
