Pink Floyd icon Roger Waters posted a tweet on Twitter sharing the video of his speech from the People’s Forum in which he was talking about Facebook and its founder Mark Zuckerberg offering him a great amount of money. Waters stated that Zuckerberg is a prick, and his wealth can’t change anything about that.
The latest People’s Forum was organized by Stand With Assange NY and Assange Defense Committee on June 11, 2021, as support for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. Roger Waters also joined the forum and once again showed that he was fully supporting the freedom of Assange. In addition, he talked about Mark Zuckerberg’s offer and his ideas on Facebook as well as its founder.
Investigative journalist Peter Cronau stated that Mark Zuckerberg wanted to use Pink Floyd’s legendary song ‘Another Brick in the Wall’ for a promotion film of Facebook and Instagram. Roger Waters admitted that he was offered a great amount of money but he said ‘fuck off’ and denied the offer because he thought that Facebook is a place of censorship.
During the recent forum, Waters drew attention to this offer, and Mark Zuckerberg again with showing the letter which was sent by Zuckerberg to use his song for a new campaign. Roger stated that his answer was no and explained the reason why he didn’t let Mark use ‘Another Brick in the Wall.’ Apparently, the Pink Floyd icon thinks that Zuckerberg is one of the most powerful idiots who thinks he can do whatever he wants since he has money.
Waters also responded to a question about whether people should delete Facebook to protest Mark Zuckerberg. He stated that people should probably delete their Facebook accounts so that Zuckerberg has no more power over its users since he is already censoring a lot of people and their opinions on certain subjects both on Facebook and Instagram.

“I just like to say something very brief. This something that I actually put in my folder when I came out here today. You have no idea what it is. Nobody does. Because it arrived me on today. It is a request for the right to use ‘Another Brick in the Wall’ in the making of a film to promote Instagram. So it is a massive shit from Zuckerberg to me which arrived this morning with a huge amount of money. The answer is ‘Fuck you. No fucking way.’
I only mentioned that because this is an insidious movement of them to take over absolutely everything you know. So, I will not be a part of this bullshit. They want to make Facebook and Instagram more powerful than they already are. So they can continue to censor all of us in this room. We should delete Facebook probably. Mark Zuckerberg is one of the most powerful idiots in the world.”
