Sir Rod Stewart has been forced to cancel remaining dates on his farewell tour after undergoing a coronary stent procedure, according to a statement shared on Instagram.
The announcement addressed the singer’s medical procedure, his current recovery, and the impact on his upcoming tour schedule.
“Following further medical evaluation, Sir Rod Stewart has successfully undergone a routine coronary stent procedure,” the announcement read. “Doctors are pleased with his recovery, and Rod is doing very well and has returned to his normal daily activities.”
The statement went on to address how the recovery process would affect his touring plans.
“On the advice of his doctors, he will take the next four weeks to recuperate and regain full fitness before returning to the stage,” it continued. “Unfortunately, this means he will be unable to continue his current tour dates.”
The announcement also noted how fans and ticket holders would be kept informed going forward.
“Information regarding affected performances will be communicated by the respective promoters and venues,” the statement said.
The cancellation lands at a significant point in the 81-year-old’s touring career and comes with a wider ripple effect across his schedule.
Stewart’s “One Last Time” farewell tour kicked off in March 2025. The latest health setback now affects his Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, including dates originally set for August 18-29. Upcoming stops in the Midwest and Mexico are also expected to be impacted while he takes his four-week recovery period.
This is not the first disruption the tour has faced in recent months. An earlier Cincinnati show was postponed just hours before showtime due to what was described at the time as an “unforeseen but minor medical procedure,” and that concert was later canceled outright rather than rescheduled. Stewart also previously postponed a Las Vegas residency show earlier this year because of an unspecified illness, marking the second time in 2026 that health concerns have interrupted his farewell run.
Stewart is expected to resume touring once he has fully recovered. Further details on rescheduled dates are expected from tour promoters and venues in the coming weeks.
