Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford recently joined an interview with radio station 93X and talked about his current favorite rock bands. Halford explained why Sleep Token particularly caught his attention. Praising the band’s unique attitude toward rock music, Rob explained:

“There’s a lot of importance being put in the direction of this band called Sleep Token. And they’re a really curious band in what they’re putting out in terms of all of these different textures. They’re very difficult to pin down. That’s what I find intriguing as a musician listening to their music. It’s going to a lot of different places, and I think that there isn’t any other band out there right now that’s able to do that. Because most bands have a specific sound and direction and idea that they project.”

The Metal God also talked about the Sleep Token singer Vessel and shared his prediction about their future together. Halford added:

“They have a [singer] called Vessel. One day The Metal God and Vessel will take a selfie together; I predict that. So, there’s something cool.”

Amy Lee Is Also A Fan Of Sleep Token

Even though receiving the stamp of approval from the Metal God himself is enough for a band to glory, Sleep Token also got a nod from the Evanescence frontwoman. Earlier in 2023, Amy Lee joined an interview with Revolver to express her feelings about the British rock band. Lee admitted the Sleep Token records blew her away. She explained:

“I love Sleep Token. I’m blown away. How do they do it? How do they go so many different directions and call it one song?”

Lee also chose the song that most affected her. The singer added:

“It took me three listens of [The Summoning] to realize that when they do that whole psychedelic section at the end, that it’s actually the same chorus as it was before, only in a completely different way. And I love it even more for that.
