Rob Dukes revealed new details about the upcoming Exodus album in an interview with Nikki Blakk.

“It’s 11,” Dukes said about the number of tracks on the new album. “And it’s f*cking heavy as f*ck, man. I mean, it is f*cking heavy and dark and cool.”

“But what’s surprising to me about it was there was a little bit of Motörhead-y rock stuff going on,” he continued. “I’m, like, ‘Oh, cool, man. This is a little departure from the norm.’ It was really cool. And so I get to step outside the box a little bit, which is nice, man. It’s kind of cool. Good challenge.”

The upcoming release marks a new chapter for Exodus. The band is incorporating elements that deviate from their traditional sound while maintaining their signature heaviness.

This revelation emerges at a significant time for the band’s recording project.

Lambgoat reported that Exodus began recording two new albums in February 2025.

The band’s current studio sessions follow their 2021 album ‘Persona Non Grata.’ Metal Addicts confirmed Dukes’ return to the band after vocalist Steve ‘Zetro’ Souza’s departure.

Dukes’ history with Exodus spans back to January 2005. During his tenure, he contributed to several landmark albums: ‘Shovel Headed Kill Machine’ (2005), ‘The Atrocity Exhibition… Exhibit A’ (2007), and ‘Exhibit B: The Human Condition’ (2010).

MetalSucks revealed the band is nearing their goal of recording 20 to 22 songs. Drummer Tom Hunting has almost completed his parts. The band plans to release the first album in spring 2026, prioritizing quality over a rushed release.
