Riley Keough Makes A Veiled Offer To Stevie Nicks
Riley Keough, who took the role in the Fleetwood Mac inspired series ‘Daisy Jones & The Six,’ made an offer to Stevie Nicks.
In a new interview with US Magazine, Keough was asked about her ideal choice for Daisy Jones & The Six to tour with. She had a ready answer, and it might not be surprising to fans of the series. The actor replied as she made an offer for the rocker:
“We could open for Stevie Nicks. That would be cool. I might ask her!”
Sam Claflin Once Received Validation From Nicks
Sam Claflin received validation for his portrayal in ‘Daisy Jones & the Six’ directly from the rock legend, Stevie Nicks, who inspired the show.
In a red-carpet interview, the actor shared that Nicks reached out to express her admiration for his performance. Despite being nominated for the best performance by a male actor in a limited series, Claflin emphasized that receiving approval from the iconic rocker meant even more to him:
“Stevie Nicks reached out personally, which to me, is [like] I’ve won already. I don’t care about winning tonight. I feel like that recognition to me means the world. She sent me a bunch of flowers. I arrived to L.A. with this note. That to me is everything. So I feel very smug right now, very, very blessed.”
Nicks’ Thoughts On The Show
Fleetwood Mac’s co-lead vocalist and keyboardist Christine McVie, also the creator of some of the band’s biggest hits, passed away on November 30, 2022, after a brief illness. The cause of death was revealed to be an aggressive form of cancer that had spread throughout her body.
Nicks, in an Instagram post, shared her thoughts on the show inspired by herself and stated that she would want her late bandmate and long-time friend to see the show as well. She wrote last August:
“Just finished watching Daisy Jones + the 6 for the 2nd time. In the beginning, it wasn’t really my story, but Riley seamlessly, soon became my story. It brought back memories that made me feel like a ghost watching my own story. It was very emotional for me. I just wish Christine could have seen it. She would have loved it. Hopefully it will continue…”
