Poison drummer Rikki Rockett shared his thoughts about the band’s future plans during an interview with The Rock is George Podcast.
“Well, we’ve been in talks for a 2026 tour. It’d be a 40th-anniversary tour,” Rockett said. “We’ve talked about 40 shows for 40 years, maybe more who knows.”
“I think Poison’s kind of like on a 10-year plan like, ‘Let’s make it the 50th anniversary.’ Maybe we can do it, I hope so. I’m all for it,” he continued. “I have no reason to have Poison disband or go away. It doesn’t make sense like, ‘Why?'”
“Unless we’re just not doing a good job out there anymore, and at that point, we’ll know it,” he added. “I’m not going to go out there and labor through a set trying we live the old times if I can’t pull it off.”
Poison’s approaching 40th anniversary milestone suggests potential celebration plans for the band’s legacy.
New details about the upcoming tour have emerged from various band members and sources.
Blabbermouth revealed that frontman Bret Michaels confirmed the participation of all original members in the 2026 tour. This commitment reinforces the band’s dedication to maintaining their classic lineup.
The Societees reported that Michaels will dedicate 2025 to focusing on his health. This decision comes before the band embarks on their extensive tour schedule.
The careful tour planning aligns with Rockett’s emphasis on maintaining high performance standards.
The band’s willingness to extend beyond 40 shows demonstrates their confidence in their continued appeal. It also reflects their commitment to preserving their musical legacy.
