Skid Row bassist Rachel Bolan has addressed the ongoing fan demands for a reunion with former vocalist Sebastian Bach. He delivered a definitive response in a statement shared on Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk.

Bolan spoke candidly about the band’s current direction and the persistent calls from fans — whom he referred to as “keyboard warriors” — urging a reunion with Bach. He made clear that the band remains focused on moving forward on their own terms.

“It is what it is. People could like us or they could not like us. I really don’t give a shit. I want people to be at our shows. We’ve been doing fine. We’ve been doing great,” Bolan said.

Bolan also acknowledged the unexpected challenge the band faced with their previous singer, Erik Grönwall, who departed due to health issues. He reaffirmed the band’s resolve to push forward regardless.

“And the last singer we had, Erik [Grönwall], we got thrown a curveball, because of his health. So, we’re forging forward, and we want to do things our way, and that’s what we’re doing,” he continued.

When it came to the reunion question specifically, Bolan expressed his frustration with the relentless pressure from fans online. He noted that the only scenario where it might even come up would be if they were actively searching for a new singer.

“I don’t really get it, the reunion thing [with Sebastian] much more, unless we have to look for a singer, and then some people, like the keyboard warriors, tell me exactly what I should be doing,” he said. “And then, ‘One tour and then call it a day and quit because you suck.’ [Laughs] It’s just, like, yeah, but I wake up and I’m still in Skid Row. What do you do? [Laughs] You know what I mean? So it’s just like a non-issue for us anymore. [The reunion] is not gonna happen.”

Bolan’s comments put a firm end to speculation about a Sebastian Bach reunion. Skid Row continues to push ahead with their current lineup.

The remarks come at a pivotal moment for the band. They are navigating both a lineup change and the weight of fan expectations that have followed them for years.

Grönwall’s departure came as a significant blow. He had been diagnosed with a serious health condition that made it impossible for him to continue. His exit was not a creative or personal split — it was a medical reality the band had no control over.

With Grönwall gone, Skid Row has been actively searching for a new lead vocalist. The band intends to keep moving forward with new music and touring. The search for the right singer is a central part of that effort, with the priority being someone who fits the band’s direction — not a return to the past.

Bach has not been silent on the matter. He has publicly stated that he remains open to a reunion and has described the band’s refusal as disappointing. He has also suggested that a strong musical connection still exists between him and the group — a sentiment that has kept the reunion conversation alive among fans despite the band’s repeated rejections.

Bolan’s latest statement, however, makes the band’s position unmistakably clear. The reunion is not a negotiation — it is a closed chapter. Skid Row is focused on the future, and that future does not include Sebastian Bach.
