The announcement came with an open invitation for anyone to call in and air whatever is on their mind. The band made clear that no complaint is too big or too small.

“Call the Queens Of The Stone Age complaint hotline and get heard!” the band said in their announcement. “You know better, now’s your chance. No bitching too big. No whiny too tiny. All complaints are reviewed personally.”

In an accompanying press release, the band elaborated further on the initiative, encouraging people from all walks of life to pick up the phone.

“Queens of the Stone Age encouraged fans, friends, and foes to dial +1 (760) 437-1966 to air their gripes and grievances, moans and groans, chagrin’, carpin’ and any judgments they wish to pass,” the band said. “No bitching too big. No whiny too tiny.”

Queens Of The Stone Age stated that all complaints submitted through the hotline will be personally reviewed by the band. The hotline launched on Wednesday, August 5th and operates around the clock as a fully 24/7 service.

The band has gone further than simply setting up a voicemail box, hinting that callers may find more than they bargained for on the other end of the line. The promise of a possible live ear adds an unpredictable and characteristically mischievous edge to the whole endeavour, very much in keeping with the band’s long-established personality.

The stunt taps into the band’s well-known sense of irreverence and dark humour. These traits have defined their public persona since their formation in Palm Desert, California in 1996. Fronted by Josh Homme, the band has built a reputation not just for their hard-driving rock sound but also for their willingness to engage with fans in unconventional and often provocative ways.

The hotline number, +1 (760) 437-1966, has already attracted widespread attention online. The announcement spread rapidly across social media platforms. The area code itself is a nod to the Coachella Valley region of California, the desert landscape that has long been central to the band’s identity and mythology.

The move arrives during a busy period for the band, who are currently in the midst of an extensive touring cycle. Queens Of The Stone Age have dates scheduled across Australia and New Zealand later in 2026, with Primus among the support acts joining them on the road.
