Pixies’ Joey Santiago recently spoke with NME about their new album, ‘The Night The Zombies Came,’ and offered some tips for Oasis about reunions.

“Just no physical violence,” Santiago said when asked for tips to Oasis. “Insults are fine. Get sleep. If you’re going to get sh*tfaced, do it after the show.”

When asked if Oasis should record new albums, the guitarist responded: “No no no, that is the most stressful part. I don’t think they’re ready for that yet. I think that the biggest tip I could give Oasis is when they’re playing the Rose Bowl [Stadium, Pasadena, California], they should ask this band called the Pixies to open up for them.”

Speaking of opening bands, Oasis has been receiving backlash for not having any supporting bands on their upcoming tour. “To all the folk who are crying about us not showing love to the young bands and not letting them support, there’s LEVELS to this game and I’m afraid 99 percent of ya are way off,” Liam Gallagher responded to the negative comments on X.

Rumors mentioned that a younger band, like Blossoms, could open for Oasis. However, it has been confirmed that no talks have taken place about this. Right now, there’s no clear information about an opening act for the tour, and it looks like there won’t be one unless more announcements are made.

Pixies released ‘The Night The Zombies Came’ on October 25. This comes ahead of their UK and European headline tour planned for 2025.
