Pink On Paying Tribute To Olivia Newton-John, ‘She Was A Hard Act To Follow’
Grease’s superstar Olivia Newton-John continues to serve the music community as an icon even months after her passing. The singer-songwriter and popstar Pink gave a tribute to this icon in the AMAs this year and spoke about how tough it is to follow Olivia’s act.
“She was amazing. I just hope I do it justice because she has a beautiful, ethereal voice,” Pink began her words, praising the late icon. “She was a hard act to follow. She was a very kind human being, and I’m happy to be the one doing it.”
Pink went on to say that she had been working really hard and with several people for her upcoming album, which will be released in 2023. She said, “It was a three-year process, and it was all over the place. I worked with a lot of new people. I think it’s one of the best albums I’ve ever made in my life.”
The AMAs were just held, and the new generation of artists began collecting their awards to continue building their careers. Pink had the honor to pay tribute to an established star in the ceremony, and it seems like Pink was an excellent choice since she is clearly a huge fan. Olivia Newton-John had a prosperous career and never showed anyone that she was fiercely battling cancer between 1992 and 2013. Her fans were sad and shocked when she passed away in August 2022.
