Pink Floyd has announced some bad news about the opening of their ‘The Pink Floyd Exhibition: Their Mortal Remains’ on their Twitter account, leaving fans disappointed.
Pink Floyd is known for its aesthetic and experimental stage shows which are quite eye-pleasing for the fans. Now with ‘The Pink Floyd Exhibition,’ it has also been made possible for the fans to embark on an audiovisual and musical journey as they cannot watch the band live.
The widely acclaimed retrospective celebrates the band’s five decades of presence in the music scene and in the world’s cultural landscape. The interactive exhibition uses a combination of sound, text, and imagery which makes the fans feel that they are also on the stage.
‘The Pink Floyd Exhibition’ will for sure become a must-see show and it covers never-before-seen concert recordings, original instruments, and personal mementos. The band’s music and the voices of the band members also accompany the fans throughout their unique experiences.
Although the exhibition was due to open on August 3, 2021, Pink Floyd recently announced its postponement. According to their recent tweet, the exhibition’s opening at the Vogue Multicultural Museum in LA has been delayed. The band then said it will now open on September 3, and run until January 9, 2022. Explaining further, the band said that the reasons for the postponement were the delays in global freight.
Pink Floyd’s tweets read:
“Sadly, the opening of ‘The Pink Floyd Exhibition: Their Mortal Remains’ at the Vogue Multicultural Museum in LA has been unavoidably delayed due to global freight issues. Due to open August 3, it now opens on September 3 and runs until January 9, 2022.
The many containers filled with Pink Floyd’s artifacts, stage sets, and private collections were shipped from the UK with an extended lead time but coming out of the pandemic, there are many delays in global freight.
August ticket holders will be emailed to reschedule their dates at no additional cost and can contact Vogue Multicultural Museum with queries about the ticket exchange process. The Exhibition teams would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding.”
