Mike Shinoda addressed concert ticket pricing in a recent interview with Pollstar.

He emphasized the importance of creating memorable experiences for fans. The discussion highlighted the substantial resources required to deliver high-quality shows.

“I look at our shows as I want people to have a core memory going away from it feeling, ‘Wow, that was an important moment in my life that I just experienced,'” Shinoda said.

He elaborated on the logistics and costs involved in producing their concerts. “In order to give them that, at least in our world, there’s a lot of work, a lot of people, there’s money that gets spent, time that gets spent to deliver you that thing, and so is our ticket price going to be $15? No, it can’t be because we’re not giving you a $15 experience. We’re giving you something incredible. In that context, that’s kind of the place where we’re existing.”

Linkin Park continues their global stadium and arena tour.

Recent touring success and substantial production values support Shinoda’s statements.

Data from Pollstar revealed the band’s ‘From Zero World Tour’ achieved remarkable success. The tour averaged $1.89 million per concert and sold out venues across multiple continents.

The financial scale of their live performances became evident in their festival appearances. Loudwire reported the band would have earned millions for their scheduled Sick New World festival performance before its cancellation.

These numbers showcase the significant investment needed for their high production standards. The figures justify Shinoda’s position on appropriate ticket pricing.

The band maintains its position as one of rock music’s most successful touring acts through their commitment to premium concert experiences.
