KISS frontman Paul Stanley shared a post on his official Twitter page showing support for the famous guitarist and composer Jason Becker after seeing the news about him revealing that Becker who has been living with ALS for more than three decades, is experiencing shortness of breath and a rapid heart rate as her mother revealed via a Twitter post.
As many of you might know, Jason Becker had a wonderful career at a young age, working with numerous amazing musicians such as former Megadeth lead guitarist Marty Friedman and former Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth along with multiple successful studio albums.
However, the successful guitarist’s life and career took a turn when he started feeling numb in his left leg during the recording for David Lee Roth’s solo band’s third studio album, ‘A Little Ain’t Enough.’ Soon after Jason Becker was diagnosed with ALS which is a motor neuron disease that results in motor neuron loss.
Despite the fact that Jason Becker managed to finish the album with thinner gauge guitar strings, his disease gradually took away his ability to play guitar, to walk, and eventually his ability to talk over the years. Thanks to a system developed by his father, Becker can communicate with his eyes and continues composing with a computer.
Although Becker was given three to five years to live when he first diagnosed with ALS, he managed to survive for more than three decades now and revealed that his health status has been stable, furthermore, he even gained weight over the years and has been healthy against the odds.
The devastating news was announced by her mother recently via a Twitter post in which Pat Becker revealed that her son has been struggling with breathing and suffering from a rapid heart rate which is pretty dangerous for somebody with his condition. Jason’s mother wanted all of his fans to pray for him and stated that they will be updated.
Here is what Jason’s mother announced:
“Jason has requested prayers from all you wonderful folks out there. He can feel your prayers and is experiencing shortness of breath and a rapid heart rate which is pretty scary stuff.
He has not been able to communicate his gratitude and love for all the recent donations and support, but he is so grateful to you all and hopes to get back to a level of energy that makes it possible to let you all know, personally, how much he appreciates you. We are in constant contact with his doctors and will keep you posted.

After seeing the statement from Jason Becker’s mother, KISS frontman shared a post on his official Twitter page showing support for his colleague and asking for all his fans to pray and sent positive thoughts to Jason. In addition to sending all the positive energy to the strong guitarist, Paul Stanley stated that Jason is loved, not alone, and much admired as an artist and a human.
