Paul Stanley Criticizes Conor McGregor’s ‘Lack Of Grace’ While Tommy Lee Congratulates Dustin Poirier For His Win

KISS frontman Paul Stanley and Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee revealed their opinions on the highly anticipated Dustin Poirier vs. Conor McGregor MMA match via a post on their official Twitter accounts. While Stanley criticized McGregor for his lack of sportsmanship, Lee congratulated Poirier for the win.
For those of you who may not know, Dustin Poirier vs. Conor McGregor took place July 10 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. Two brilliant fighters faced each other in the UFC 264 main event and the fight was one of the most expected events of the night.
During the match, Conor McGregor’s left ankle was broken and needed assistance to leave the cage to have surgery at a local hospital which resulted in Dustin Poirier’s win. However, McGregor was the one who received major backlash after allegedly threatening his opponent for weeks in order to send Poirier out of the cage.
On top of this, after referee Herb Dean called off the fight at the end of the first round and named Poirier the TKO winner mainly because of McGregor’s inability to continue, the former dual champion again threatened to kill Poirier by shouting at him while sitting and made a gun signal to his head.
Like many other viewers, Paul Stanley shared a post on his official Twitter page criticizing McGregor for his absence of grace, sportsmanship, and modesty. According to the KISS frontman, the fighter needs to face his actions after completely healing since last night’s MMA match was ugly in every way.
In his Twitter post, Stanley shared:
“Last night… Was an ugly display of lack of humility, lack of grace, and lack of sportsmanship. The writing is on the wall so please heal and come back so you can face it.”
In addition to Paul Stanley, Tommy Lee also expressed his opinion about the fight by sharing a post on his official Twitter page. While congratulating the winner, Mötley Crüe drummer stated that Dustin Poirier would win anyway although the way he was declared to be the winner was quite unfortunate.
In his own words, Tommy Lee stated:
“Congrats to Dustin Poirier…Well done dude! Unfortunate way to get a TKO but that was gonna happen anyway, you were clearly beating him up!!”
