Paul McCartney Couldn’t Get Over The Accusations Of Breaking Up The Beatles Until Now

The Beatles icon Paul McCartney was interviewed by Express and shared his ideas and feelings about the upcoming Beatles documentary. Also, the musician revealed how the autobiographical series helped him see the reasons behind the band’s break up while admitting that he had always blamed himself.

As you may recall, it was recently announced that ‘The Beatles: Get Back,’ which is a three-part documentary series produced and directed by Peter Jackson, will be released on November 25, 2021, on Disney+. The documentary is based on the band’s twelfth and final studio album ‘Let It Be’ and the relationship between the band members during its production and recording process. Jackson and his team worked on 55 hours of footage and 140 hours of audio stemming for this project.

Both the remaining Beatles’ members and their longtime dedicated fans are looking forward to watching the upcoming documentary and learning the details about the band’s breakup. The main reasons behind it were considered as their manager Brian Epstein’s death, Lennon’s drug addiction and relationship with Yoko Ono, and Paul McCartney’s wish to be the band’s leader.

During his interview, Paul McCartney admitted that he kept blaming himself for causing the tension between The Beatles members, which led to their decision to disband. However, he recently realized that they were having fun together despite their personal and creative differences after watching the unseen footage from their last recording session. McCartney stated that he won’t blame himself for their breakup and won’t focus on this dark side anymore and defined ‘Let It Be’ as proof of his innocence.

McCartney said in his interview that:

“I definitely bought into the dark side of The Beatles breaking up and thought, ‘God, I’m to blame.’ It’s easy when the climate is going that way to think that, but at the back of my mind, there was this idea that it wasn’t like that. I just needed to see proof.
