In a recent interview, actor Patrick Wilson disclosed his connection with Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash. During the interview, Wilson was told that Slash had given the actor his regards a couple of hours ago. The actor chuckled and shared his opinion on the guitarist. He said:

“He’s incredible. He’s also a massive horror fan, and he’s certainly producing horror, and I would love to work with him. If you told my 16-year-old self that this conversation would have just happened and Slash said hello, my jaw would drop to the floor. He is a great, great dude. I’ve read his biography several years ago; his book is fantastic.”

Wilson continued and shared the story of how and when they first met:

“We met, probably in 2016 or so, when they first got back together and did the big stadium tour. I wanted to go see the show, and then as I reached out [I] realized, ‘Oh God, he would love to meet you, he is a big horror fan, and there was a project we might have worked together on, and I would love to work with him. So we’ve just stayed friends and communicated, he’s incredible.”

The actor expressed his admiration for Slash and mentioned the guitarist’s earlier days:

“Also, obviously, I graduated from high school in 1991, so when [Appetite For Destruction] came out, I’m a massive, massive fan. It started with that, but I just really love that he’s the epitome of an artist constantly searching for new things, new enterprises, and stuff that he loves to do. So, yeah, great dude.”

Last week, Slash also shared similar thoughts regarding Wilson. During a conversation about horror movies, particularly ‘Insidious: The Red Door’, which Wilson both directed and acted in, the rocker mentioned the actor and said:

“Oh, I know Patrick Wilson, I met him after the first Insidious. He came to a Guns N’ Roses show because he’s a fan. We met there and I sort of fanboyed out and managed to get his phone number, and now I bug him all the time. I didn’t know there was a new one actually until I saw the ad in a trailer. I’m excited.” about it.”
