Paris Jackson Thinks Some People Won’t Be Able To Handle Her New Record

Paris Jackson thinks some people might find her new album difficult to listen to.

In an appearance on a recent episode of Jade Iovine’s podcast Live From Bed, the singer talked about what fans can expect from her upcoming record:

“I mean, is some of it going to be hard for some people to hear? For sure, yeah, because what I’m talking about is a lot of touchy things.”

Jackson explained her work might influence the public rather than her friends:

“Some people might have a hard time. All of my close friends know my story. I’m an open book with all of my friends.”

The musician also shared that her inspiration comes from her painful past experiences. She works with Linda Perry on this album. Paris thinks Perry encourages her to be clearer with her words. Jackson hasn’t set a release date yet but hopes to drop the album this year.

Jackson Previously Released Other Songs

Last year, Jackson released two singles: ‘Bandaid’ in February 2023 and ‘Hit Your Knees’ in August. It’s uncertain if these will be on her next album. In 2022, she also dropped singles ‘Just You’ and ‘Lighthouse.’ In 2023, Paris told the following to People about ‘Bandaid’:

“I used the same [sound] mixer, so there is definitely a cohesiveness with the first two singles, but this one is a bit more influenced by bands like the Pixies, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Interpol. It’s a little bit louder, it’s more fun. But in terms of the songwriting aspect, it’s still the same acoustic folk approach that I always take when I’m writing.”

The singer’s first and only full album, ‘Wilted,’ arrived in November 2020. Jackson currently has no scheduled shows for the upcoming days.
