Paris Jackson, the daughter of the late Michael Jackson, recently clarified why she prefers to address internet bullies rather than ignore them.
Jackson has received threats and bullying over the years, especially from her father’s fans. The singer earlier opened up about the bullying to address in a now-deleted video that people don’t like her tattoos, outspokenness, and profanity.
More recently, Jackson took it to X to share that she refuses to ignore the bullying. She wrote in her recent post:
“I know you guys mean well when you tell me to ignore online ignorance and bullying. But I need you to know it’s a conscious choice of mine to not ignore it. I am not a nice person. I like making people, especially journalists, realize how stupid they are. I enjoy it. It’s fun.”
In another, she responded to Daily Mail’s news shared about her outfit. In a recently taken photo, Jackson is seen wearing a shirt that says ‘Rise and Kill Yourself,’ for which the source claimed that it was a message to her suicide attempt two years ago. As a response to the claims, she clarified that it was a Comme des Garçons shirt and didn’t mean anything in particular:
“It’s Comme des Garçons you f*ckwits.”
Similarly, the singer received backlash for not publicly celebrating her father’s birthday and was even told to kill herself by her father’s fans. She addressed the situation by stating that her father hated celebrating his birthdays and didn’t want his kids to know his birthday so that they wouldn’t throw a party for him. She ended her statement by highlighting that people shouldn’t use someone they have never met as an excuse to abuse and bully their daughter.
