Tommy Lee’s ex-wife Pamela Anderson has shared a few words for her former husband in her memoir, ‘Love, Pamela.’
“It’s no secret. Both you boys are born from a rare kind of romantic love. Which leads me to Tommy. Thank you for just being you, and for being the catalyst for everything good in my life,” the actress wrote about her ex-husband at the end of her memoir.
The abuse ended Pamela and Tommy’s marriage. In February 1998, Pamela filed for divorce after Tommy was arrested and charged with spousal and child abuse for hitting her while she was holding their seven-week-old son, Dylan. Tommy was later sentenced to six months in jail for the spousal abuse charge. The couple got back together several times but finally split for good in 2009.
It has been over 20 years since their divorce, but Anderson once admitted that she had found true love with Lee even with the challenges the couple faced.
“Tommy and I fell in love. It felt like this really safe place,” she said. Recalling the romantic gestures the actress added, “He would arrive at the house on a horse covered in full knight gear on, a knight in shining armor, and read a scroll to me.”
The actress shared how she believed these gestures showed true love. She continued, “It was just so hyper-heightened. But it felt good. It felt like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is what it’s all about. This is true love.’ It was so romantic; it was so over-the-top.”
Today, Anderson and Lee have moved on and co-parent their sons, but the actress says she will always have a special place in her heart for her ex-husband.
