Two of Ozzy Osbourne’s children, Elliott Kingsley and Jessica Osbourne, were notably absent from the rock legend’s funeral ceremony. Sharon Osbourne was joined by Kelly, Jack, Aimee, and Louis Osbourne at the service. Reports from Daily Mail confirmed the attendance details.

Elliott and Jessica’s absence extends beyond the funeral ceremony. Their names were also excluded from the family’s official statement announcing Ozzy’s passing.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” the family statement read. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family’s privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee, and Louis.”

Jessica Osbourne had previously spoken about her relationship with her father in the 2011 documentary ‘God Bless Ozzy Osbourne.’

“My recollection from my childhood with dad is that he’d be away for very long periods of time, and there’d always be a period of adjustment when he came home, and then it’d get to normality, and then he’d go again,” Jessica said. “So, it was a very erratic childhood with dad.”

The funeral ceremony took place on the grounds of the family mansion. Notable attendees included Elton John, among other stars paying their respects.

The complex family dynamics that led to Elliott and Jessica’s absence have deep historical roots. These roots trace back to Ozzy’s early relationships and personal struggles.

Tuko reported that Elliott Kingsley is not Ozzy’s biological son but was adopted during the rock star’s marriage to Thelma Riley in the early 1970s. Elliott has largely remained out of the public eye throughout his life. He has maintained a private existence away from the spotlight that has followed the Osbourne family for decades.

The relationship between Ozzy and his older children was significantly impacted by his well-documented struggles with substance abuse and his demanding career schedule. Bollywood Shaadis noted that Ozzy himself admitted in his memoir that his marriage to Thelma was “a terrible mistake.” He acknowledged that his substance abuse and frequent absences made him a poor stepfather to Elliott and negatively affected his relationship with Jessica.

Jessica Osbourne, born in 1972, has carved out her own path in the entertainment industry. She pursued acting rather than music. Ultimate Classic Rock documented that she has appeared in television shows like ‘Better Call Saul’ and films such as ‘The Messengers.’ She established herself as a performer independent of her father’s legacy.

The stark contrast between the treatment of Ozzy’s children from his first marriage versus those from his marriage to Sharon Osbourne reflects the different phases of his life and career. Jack, Kelly, Aimee, and Louis grew up during Ozzy’s more stable period and were featured prominently in the family’s reality show. Elliott and Jessica experienced the chaotic early years of his career when addiction and touring dominated his priorities.
