Pastor Dylan Novak has made it his mission to share the Gospel with some of the world’s most recognizable celebrities. He recently shared his experience with Ozzy Osbourne before the rock legend’s death, according to reporting from Fox News.

Novak gave Osbourne a personalized Bible designed for easy understanding. Jack Osbourne later approached him with an update on his father’s reaction to the gift.

“Jack Osbourne approached me and said Ozzy spent the following day asking for the Bible, reading it, discussing it with his family,” Novak said. “We don’t always know this side of heaven how that ended up. I pray Ozzy made a decision to accept and follow Christ. As a result of God’s perfect timing, so many people were praying for Ozzy leading up to his passing. So many people came to know Christ as a result.”

The pastor’s outreach to Osbourne sparked an unexpected wave of interest from others in the rock community. Novak described the response as remarkable.

“We had, no exaggeration, hundreds of people emailing us asking us for gospel information, saying, ‘Can you send me some of the material that you gave to Ozzy? I’m an old rocker, I rejected Christ years ago. But if Ozzy was willing to look at it, I’m willing to look at it.’ People saying, ‘I want to be saved’ and that is just so beautiful to see,” he continued.

This moment with Osbourne represents just one chapter in Novak’s broader mission to reach celebrities with the Gospel message. His work has evolved into a significant evangelical effort that extends far beyond a single encounter.

Tennessee youth pastor Dylan Novak has evangelized to over 2,000 celebrities throughout his ministry, making him one of the most prolific celebrity evangelists in the country, Fox News reports. His work includes encounters with major figures across entertainment, politics, and sports, demonstrating the breadth of his outreach efforts.

Novak’s approach to celebrity evangelism is highly personal and intentional. Christian Post noted that Novak tailors his gifts and messages to address each celebrity’s expressed doubts or beliefs. He often presents customized Bibles and apologetic materials reflecting his belief that sharing the Gospel is fundamentally about obedience rather than guaranteed outcomes.

The meeting with Osbourne took place in 2023 near Philadelphia. Novak presented the rock legend with a Bible embossed with his name. Worship Ideas reported that Osbourne was deeply moved by the gesture. He kept the Bible at his bedside table until his passing, underscoring the significance of the encounter and suggesting a genuine spiritual interest in Osbourne’s final months.

Novak’s ministry began as a youthful hobby but has evolved into a full-time calling. He aims to reach what he considers a largely overlooked people group—celebrities with enormous cultural influence but limited spiritual outreach. His commitment to this mission reflects a broader evangelical strategy focused on reaching high-profile individuals who can potentially influence millions through their platforms and personal testimonies.

The ripple effect of Osbourne’s encounter with the Gospel demonstrates the potential impact of such personal evangelistic efforts. The hundreds of inquiries Novak received from others inspired by Ozzy’s openness to spiritual exploration illustrate how a single moment of vulnerability from a public figure can inspire others to reconsider their own faith journeys.
