Ozzy Osbourne discussed the upcoming final Black Sabbath show in a recent interview with SiriusXM.
The interviewer asked about his pre-show stress levels. Osbourne responded by sharing his approach to managing anxiety and his commitment to the performance.
“Sometimes, but what I do, if I start obsessing all the time, I’ll be insane by Friday, you know?” Osbourne said. “So, I’m just taking it one day at a time and when I do it one day at a time. You know, when we were talking about this [obsessive-compulsive disorder], whatever. I have that badly.”
The legendary vocalist emphasized his dedication to the performance.
“All I can say is I’m giving 120%. If my God wants me to do the show, I’ll do it,” he concluded.
Black Sabbath’s historic final performance holds special significance due to Osbourne’s recent health challenges.
Men’s Journal revealed that Osbourne faces significant physical limitations. He maintains his strength through weight training and cycling despite these challenges.
The upcoming performance will reunite Black Sabbath for the first time in 20 years. Hello Magazine confirmed the show will take place at Villa Park in Birmingham in July 2025. Osbourne has vowed to make it “the greatest heavy metal show ever.”
People Magazine documented Osbourne’s battle with Parkinson’s disease affecting his mobility. His vocal abilities remain strong. He works with a physiotherapist daily to prepare for the performance.
The frontman’s determination showcases his commitment to fans and the band’s legacy. A new documentary titled “No Escape from Now” will provide an intimate look at Osbourne’s journey and current challenges.
