Noel Gallagher Has No Regrets About Oasis Except One

In a recent interview, Noel Gallagher shared his single regret regarding his career with Oasis. During the interview with Abbey Road Studios, he was asked for one piece of advice he would have given to his younger self.

Though Gallagher thinks that he navigated things well, there’s one thing he wouldn’t have done now. Before sharing his piece of advice, he said:

“I don’t know. I think I’ve navigated everything pretty well. Maybe would not have recorded Oasis’ third album [‘Be Here Now’] quite as soon after the second one. That’s what I’d say.”

He added by sharing a piece of advice:

“A bit of advice would be: Don’t give your best f*cking songs away as b-sides.”

Additionally, in another interview with NME, he admitted that he should have spent more time on the process of creating ‘Be Here Now.’ He admitted:

“In the studio, it was great, and on the day it came out, it was great. It was only when I got on tour that I was thinking, ‘It doesn’t f*cking stand up. I regret not having the wherewithal to think, ‘Actually, this run of tunes cannot go on.'”

Gallagher also shared the tracks he regrets to have released as B-sides. In the same interview, he said he should have kept backtracks like ‘Acquiesce’ and ‘The Masterplan’ rather than using them as B-sides.

‘Be Here Now’ was released in 1997 and reissued in 2016 with bonus tracks, including a new remix of ‘D’You Know What I Mean?’
