Nita Strauss Wants To Make Music Like Demi Lovato Or Pink

In a recent chat with Ultimate Guitar’s Justin Beckner, Nita Strauss revealed her plans for the next albums.

When the interviewer asked whether there are any names she wants to team up with in the future, the guitarist responded:

“I think, on the next record, I just want to go further in both directions. I would love to do something more mainstream; maybe it’s with someone like Demi [Lovato], which would be a dream come true or somebody like Pink. And then I want to do something heavy because the stuff that I listen to on my own time is pretty heavy.”

The Musician Won’t Wait Too Long For The New Material

Strauss released her latest solo album, ‘The Call of the Void’ last year but she already started to think about his next record. The rocker told the following about it in the same interview:

“I don’t want to lose the momentum of this one. It was five years between ‘Controlled Chaos’ and ‘Call of the Void.’ I don’t want to wait another five years. It has been kind of hard to think of any concrete ideas because I’ve been on the road the entire time, literally from the month before the record came out. We started touring to promote the record, and I have not had more than two weeks home since then. It’s been almost a year. So it’s been hard to sort of sit and be creative, but I plan to do it.”

Nita’s Previous Words On Demi Lovato

It is not surprising that Nita wants to go in the direction of Lovato’s music because they worked together in the past and she previously talked about her admiration for Demi. In March, Strauss spoke with Backstage Pass Rock-News and reflected on touring with Lovato:

“It wasn’t as different as you might think. Demi is a total rock star and wanted to go in a more heavy direction with her new music, so she’s got a great rock album that came out in 2022 called ‘Holy Fvck’ and put together an amazing all-female band to tour on that album. It wasn’t really so different to all the other rock tours that I’ve ever done because it was a rock show.”

Nita completed her North American tour on March 29 in Leander Texas. The guitarist will accompany Alice Cooper on his forthcoming summer 2024 tour. She will be on the road throughout the summer and fall.
