Nikki Sixx Shows Off His 59 Fender Bass And Explains Why It Is Still Solid As A Rock
Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx shared a post on his official Instagram page revealing that his 62-year-old Fender bass guitar is still working like a clock after all those years filled with recording, furthermore, Sixx stated that he sometimes did not even tune her for months.
As many of you know, Nikki Sixx has always been into vintage guitars, especially if they are Fender bass guitars. As you may recall, Sixx once revealed that he found a 1965 Fender Jazz Bass which turned into a green color due to aging in Lake Placid in an old Facebook post.
In that post, Nikki Sixx looked happier than he has ever been with a huge smile on his face and stated that 65 Fender is all original and sounds incredibly insane, according to him. It is quite obvious that Nikki Sixx has a soft spot when it comes to fully functional, original, and old guitars.
Recently, Nikki Sixx shared a picture on his official Instagram page of his 1959 Fender bass guitar revealing that despite the fact that it has been used in numerous recordings, it still is as solid as a rock and working properly.
In addition to this, Sixx surprised his fans by revealing that his more than 6 decades old Fender sometimes does not even need tuning for months proving that he took good care of his guitar in addition to Fender’s durability.
