Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx has shared a personal update regarding the band’s current touring activity and future plans.
Sixx addressed his feelings about life on the road during Mötley Crüe’s ongoing Return Carnival Of Sins Tour. He also confirmed that the band currently has no touring plans scheduled for 2027.
“I love playing live but never have been a fan of being on the road for any real length of time. But I’m having a blast on this run,” Sixx said. “No tour plans in 2027 at this point and my family is with me now. So I’m living in the moment. It’s been great. Thank you.”

The Return Of The Carnival Of Sins Tour kicked off on July 17, 2026, in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania. It is a 33-date North American run produced by Live Nation. The tour is scheduled to wrap on September 26, 2026, in Ridgefield, Washington, with stops in cities including Toronto, Camden, Saratoga Springs, Dallas, and Long Beach along the way.
The run marks both the 20th anniversary of the original Carnival Of Sins production and the band’s 45th anniversary as a group. The scale and significance of the tour help explain the enthusiasm Sixx expressed despite his well-documented reservations about extended time on the road.
