Nikki Sixx Is Proud To Be In Mötley Crüe With His Friends

Although he has had various other ventures throughout the years, Nikki Sixx stayed loyal to Mötley Crüe. As the band is now getting ready to celebrate its 42nd anniversary this year, the bassist decided to honor all those years they’ve spent together in his recent Instagram post.

“I remember the day we put the band together 42 years ago,” Sixx wrote in the caption. “We’ve been through a lot together, like any family. Proud of what we’ve accomplished during each new chapter of our career. Proud of the music. Proud to be in a band with my friends. Grateful to our fans for supporting us for four decades. Band rehearsal for the next tour starts next week. I can’t wait to get back at. Thank you.”

With this heartfelt message, the musician included a photo of himself in the post, standing in a triumphant and proud pose. As understood from the bassist’s statements, Mötley Crüe is getting ready to rehearse for their upcoming tour, which will start next month. Apparently, the band has no intentions of taking a break following their highly-successful and record-breaking Stadium Tour.

Back on January 17, 1981, Nikki Sixx left London and started rehearsing with Tommy Lee and vocalist/guitarist Greg Leon. Although they practiced for a while as a trio, Leon decided not to continue with them as a band. Soon after, Sixx and Lee met Robin Moore and Mick Mars. During Mars’ audition which resulted in him getting the job, Moore was fired. With Vince Neil’s addition, Mötley Crüe was born 42 years ago from now.

Although he has a successful solo career and several other ventures like Sixx:A.M., the bassist has always made Mötley Crüe his priority. Looking back at where they started, he is now proud of going through thick and thin with his bandmates through all those years. Besides, the musician didn’t forget to thank their fanbase, who have supported them for over four decades.
