Nikki Sixx Doesn’t Like Timothée Chalamet’s Performance In ‘Total Sleeper’ Film ‘Dune’

Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx recently posted a tweet to share his thoughts and ideas about both Timothée Chalamet’s performance as Paul Atreides and the ‘Dune’ movie itself. He criticized the movie and the actor saying it’s too boring that he was about to sleep while watching it.

‘Dune’ is an epic science fiction movie that was adapted from the first book of Frank Herbert’s legendary best-seller book series ‘Dune.’ Its star-studded cast includes Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Zendaya, Jason Mamoa, Josh Brolin, and Stellan Skarsgård with many more. Firstly, the movie premiered on September 3, 2021, at the 78th Venice International Film Festival, and then it’s released on October 21, 2021.

Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Dune’ received very positive reviews from the book’s fans and movie critics also most of them described it as the movie of the year with its well-adapted scenario, actors’ performances, and visual effects. However, Sixx didn’t agree with them and stated that he only liked the effects, not the movie’s plot by defining it as a ‘total sleeper’ on his official Twitter account. Furthermore, the bassist targeted Timothée Chalamet who played Paul Atreides in ‘Dune.’

According to the Mötley Crüe bassist, Chalamet was chosen for this role not with his talent but with his pretty face even though many people regarded his acting performance as realistic and astonishing. After sharing his thoughts about the young actor and the film, Sixx recieved both the support and criticism of his fans who thought that Chalamet is one of the most talented young generation artists of his time.

Sixx’s tweet read:

“Keep trying to get into ‘Dune 2021.’ I think the young actor was picked for his vanilla look rather than being based on his ability to draw blood with his performance. Great visual effect. Total sleeper.”
