Nikki Sixx Calls Pearl Jam ‘The Most Boring Band’ Over Eddie Vedder’s Criticism Of Mötley Crüe

Eddie Vedder recently talked about how he worked at a club in San Diego and how he would involuntarily listen to some bands he didn’t want to listen to one of which was Mötley Crüe. Nikki Sixx responded to Vedder’s comments on disliking Mötley Crüe and shared his own opinions on Pearl Jam.

Mötley Crüe shows have always been about the music one can shake your head to, the style, and the drunken stage performances accompanied by dangerous stunts. The band is known as one of the most notorious bands in rock and roll history and is currently getting ready to tour in spring 2022. Even though they got older by age, their stage performances are still over and looked forward to by the fans.

Mötley Crüe’s music is on the further edge of the rock and roll’s hard rock scale across bands will calmer and steadier sound. Pearl Jam is one of those bands formed in 1990, who, as opposed to Mötley Crüe, had more romantic and poetic lyrics. Mötley Crüe and Pearl Jam are the two most popular bands in the rock music scene, however, Eddie Vedder recently confessed his hate for bands like Mötley Crüe.

Vedder stated that he had to be present in rock concerts while he didn’t want to while he was working at a club and hated some of the bands that played there. Mötley Crüe was one of those bands, and Vedder basically hated how the band made his fellow men look. Furthermore, he hated how they made the women look.

Following Eddie’s comments over bands like Mötley Crüe, Nikki Sixx shared a tweet to respond to the claims about his band making both men and women bad by their stage acts. Sixx stated that it made him laugh seeing how much Vedder hated Mötley Crüe. He also added that Vedder’s hate could be a compliment considering he is the frontman of Pearl Jam, one of the most boring bands in history.

Here is what Vedder said:

“You know, I used to work in San Diego loading gear at a club. I’d end up being at shows that I wouldn’t have chosen to go to — bands that monopolized late-’80s MTV. The metal bands that — I’m trying to be nice — I despised. Girls, Girls, Girls and Mötley Crüe. I hated it. I hated how it made the fellas look. I hated how it made the women look. It felt so vacuous.”

Here is what Nikki Sixx replied:

“Made me laugh today reading how much the singer in Pearl Jam hated Mötley Crüe. Now considering that they’re one of the most boring bands in history, it’s kind of a compliment isn’t it?”

A fan got involved:

“Man, I can’t fuckin stand Pearl Jam.”

Sixx stated:

They can’t stand Pearl Jam. The little inside scoop?”
