Nikki Sixx Announces Virtual Event With Corey Taylor
Mötley Crüe bass guitarist Nikki Sixx announced he will appear in a new virtual singing event hosted by Slipknot’s Corey Taylor with a recent Instagram post.
As you know, Nikki Sixx is mainly known for his career in Mötley Crüe as the band’s co-founder, bassist, and primary songwriter. During his career in the band, Sixx enjoyed great commercial success but later developed an addiction to heroin. He has been sober for over 20 years now, and in 2007, he published an autobiography titled ‘The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star.’ In the book, he shared his reflections on being a drug addict using a diary format.
For the past months, Nikki mentioned multiple times that he was working on another book titled ‘The First 21 .’ About two days ago, the bassist revealed that the memoir will be released on October 19. ‘The First 21’ tells the story of Nikki Sixx’s early life and how he became an icon in the music industry, as well as his career with Mötley Crüe.
Some hours ago, the iconic bass guitarist said that he will be discussing ‘The First 21’ with Corey Taylor at a virtual event one day before its release and noted that he’s looking forward to the event. Corey also posted the announcement on Instagram and shared his excitement for hosting Nikki’s upcoming book at the virtual signing event.
Nikki Sixx announced the event in his Instagram post as:
“Very excited to announce the national Barnes & Noble Bookseller virtual signing event! Hosted by my good friend Corey Taylor!”
In his own Instagram post, Corey Taylor also shared his excitement:
“I’m stoked to be hosting a Barnes & Noble Bookseller virtual signing event with my good friend Nikki Sixx for his new book ‘The First 21’ on Oct. 18.”
