Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx recently revealed he hasn’t seen his bandmates in a while despite upcoming tour plans. He addressed the topic during one of his regular Q&A sessions shared on X (formerly Twitter).

The bassist’s comments came in response to a fan’s enthusiastic question about the band’s current state and upcoming performances.

When a Mötley Crüe fan asked “How’s the Crüe feeling? I can’t wait to see you guys in July!”, Sixx provided an honest glimpse into the band’s current dynamic.

“Haven’t seen the guys in a while. I live in Wyoming and Vince in Tennessee and Tommy is in California,” Sixx said. “We see each other at rehearsal and then of course on tour.”

The musician reflected on how much has changed since the band’s early days. He noted the contrast between their current living arrangements and their shared past.

“Crazy we all used to live in an apartment together and now so far away,” he continued. “Band’s great though.”

Despite the physical distance between band members, Sixx’s response suggests the group remains in good spirits as they prepare for their upcoming July performances.

Sixx’s comments come as Mötley Crüe prepares for their highly anticipated 2026 summer tour. The tour promises to be a significant milestone for the legendary rock band.

XS Rock reported that the band has announced “The Return of the Carnival of Sins” tour. The tour celebrates both the 20th anniversary of their 2005-2006 tour and the band’s 45th anniversary. The extensive North American tour features 33 dates running from mid-July through late September. Special guests Tesla and Extreme will join the lineup.

The July performances that the fan referenced in Sixx’s Q&A session are part of an ambitious tour schedule that kicks off on July 17, 2026. 102.5 WDVE confirmed that the opening night will take place at The Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania. This marks the beginning of what promises to be a major rock spectacle.

The current lineup includes Vince Neil on vocals, Nikki Sixx on bass, Tommy Lee on drums, and John 5 on guitar. Waterfront Amphitheater detailed this configuration. This represents the band’s continued evolution following John 5’s addition to replace Mick Mars. The change ensures that the legendary group continues to deliver their signature sound to fans across North America.

The tour will feature re-imagined versions of classic hits including “Kickstart My Heart,” “Live Wire,” and “Home Sweet Home.” It will also include a new single. This demonstrates that despite the geographical distance between band members, their creative chemistry remains intact when they come together for rehearsals and performances.
