Guitarist Jeff Loomis and drummer Van Williams are hinting at the return of Nevermore.
Both musicians shared a one-minute teaser video with Nevermore images, possible silhouettes of the duo, and the text: ‘Resurrecting The Dream.’ The video ends with the Nevermore logo and the phrase ‘A New Chapter Rises,’ followed by the year ‘2025.’
Nevermore broke up in 2011 when Loomis and Williams left the band due to personal issues with vocalist Warrel Dane and bassist Jim Sheppard. In a later interview, Dane said Nevermore was ‘the greatest band that alcohol ever ruined.’ The band’s seventh and final album, ‘The Obsidian Conspiracy,’ was released in 2010.
Dane passed away in December 2017 at the age of 56 while recording his solo album ‘Shadow Work’ in São Paulo, Brazil. He reportedly suffered a heart attack during the night and couldn’t be revived.
After almost ten years with the band, Loomis left Arch Enemy in December 2023. As for the recent news, fans are divided—some are excited, while others are still skeptical.
