Neal Schon’s Solo Gig Unexpectedly Gets Canceled By Promoter

Neal Schon took to Twitter to share with fans that he was canceled by the promoter a month prior to the Guitare en Scène festival in Saint-Julien-en-Genevois from July 20th to 23rd. The rocker wrote:

“I was canceled by the promoter June 21st.”

The rocker also shared the poster that was taken down by writing:

“This is what they just took down.”

Even though the Guitare en Scène festival team recently removed the poster where Neal Schon was a part of the lineup, they had announced the rocker’s removal from the lineup last month on June 23rd. They wrote:

“Unfortunately, for reasons beyond our control, we have to cancel Neal Schon/Journey Through Time’s appearance on Friday, July 21st.”

After breaking the news that Neal won’t be a part of the festival, the organizing team also said:

“One month from the Guitare en Scène festival, the adventure is full of twists and turns for this 2023 edition, so let’s bounce back together again.”

An official statement hasn’t been made regarding the reason behind Neal’s cancellation by the promoter. However, the festival did announce that instead of Schon, Ko Ko Mo will take over on Friday, July 21st, and give fans a rock-filled weekend.
