Journey guitarist Neal Schon has voiced his frustration with X (formerly Twitter) over account access issues. He shared his concerns on his X account.
The musician maintains a premium subscription on the platform. He has detailed his ongoing struggles with accessing his profile despite multiple attempts to seek assistance.
“WTF? I pay for premium on X. Yet I keep getting bounced out of my profile. And getting no help even though I’ve written at least 50 times. I expect an answer soon,” Schon stated.
His recent complaint follows a previous access incident. “I’m back! Got locked out of my account for a bit. This place is not working or I’m being discriminated having an account. I keep getting bounced out,” he had earlier shared.
X has not yet publicly responded to Schon’s complaints about these technical difficulties.
The current technical issues reflect a broader pattern of social media challenges for the Journey guitarist throughout the past year.
Reporting from Alternative Nation revealed that Schon’s social media difficulties intensified around May 2023. He first reported frequent account lockouts and raised discrimination concerns during this period.
The timing of these technical issues proved especially challenging for Schon. Cleveland Scene documented his increased efforts to share Journey updates and connect with fans through the platform.
Schon has maintained his social media presence despite these ongoing platform access issues. He continues to show public support for Journey’s current lineup, particularly expressing appreciation for lead vocalist Arnel Pineda.
His posts have generated significant attention among fans. A notable “Journey Beyond” message sparked discussions about future projects. These conversations occasionally led to unsubstantiated speculation about band reunions.
